Hello everybody

I have have suceesfully fitted the golf R Led rear lights with the adapters.
Now i obviously have the dashboard bulb error.
What needs to be done in order to remove the error?I
have checked the other topics in the forum however they are 09 models.

I have halogen headlights, with front Fogs, it the car was built in september 2011. And i need to know exactly what binary i need to change the Byte 18?
In steveP topic, he has changed the Byte 18 to 04. However the GTi have different BCM to the TSI 1.4, it is also 2009 model where as mine is 2011 and i think he has xenons.

It's the same for all models and years, 04 in Byte 18 will work fine.

Hi Steve, even with halogen headlights? Would 04 work? Without interfering with headlights?

If 04 doesn't work, with mine, 04 cured the bulb out warnings, but the daylight running lights didn't come on with the ignition, only with the sidelights and headlights, also the sidelights were dim. Try 15

With MJ2010 / BCM 2011 from KW45/2009 (0573 & 0575 Software / 0576)
Encoding   Halogen VCDS Byte 18 = 15   Xenon VCDS Byte 18 = 43
Lights go out at the tailgate opens               YES   YES
Error message MFA                                         NO          NO
Problem with front parking light (weak light)   NO   NO
LED tailgate light up more when braking   NO   NO
