Door Poppers
« on: 12 February 2012, 11:26 »
Hi, i have flushed doors on my golf, the only way i have to get into the car is with the remote thob. i find this really annoying as i have locked my keys in the car before. I want to add some door popper into the mirrors, please could someone point me in the right direction.

Many Thanks

hi mate its really easy but a PITA i did this on my punto when i was a youth about when the fast and furious came out lol

door poppers you can get from volksbits in birmingham thats where i got mine from
you mount popper in the bottom off the door (cable operated popper with magnet)
you have to work out which way the handle pulls the lock on where to mount popper)

take mirror off drill through with small drill bitwhere u want to mount the button
need to get a water proof button as water will ingress and popper will fail at awkward times

run 2 wires from switch through mirror casing and into door and run a power feed from battery through cab into door loom wire power to 1 off the wires on the switch and the other wire from switch to live on door popper and a earth from popper to door

now switch will work
