long shot rear bumper Q

hey guys i want to go us anni on the car and i cant get a rear bumper us spec i was wondering is there a way that i can turn the standard one into a us look spec??
1.8t-aum-stage 1 remap wagen worx-CAI-demon motorsport TIP-black forge 007P,H.I.D's 6000k-front badgless bonnet bra-r32 reps(selling soon)-m3 rear lights,dropped on JOM coilovers with fk drop links-3" turbo back exhaust-FMIC ordered SOLD SOLD SOLD

to do:
Bbs lm reps want now haha r32 wheels for sale soon pm me if interested

The only difference is the plate recess, I guess if you know someone that was hand with a plastic welder it could be done...

Shorter plate recess and slightly wider due to US safety laws

Sure I have seen a recess insert for the UK bumper
Gone but still keeping a close eye on it...

us spec bumper is different as said by steve due to the us laws.

you can buy us spec bumpers and rubstrips from vw but doubt they would be cheep. not sure how much tps would do them for.

however you may be able to bodge the us spec rubstip into the standard bumper then use a bit of plastic welding/filler before getting the bumper sprayed

Yea I.really want us rear but price will be through the roof lol keep looking to see if I can find someone thats done it

Apparently it cost around £220 from the dealers unpainted

Just mod the standard one  :smiley:
