So it started snowing in the small village where I work at 2pm and lying quite heavily around 30 miinutes later, as I have a 6 mile jorney back home across the moors decided to jack it in for the day and head home.
By now the snow was 1" thick and had covered the road completely but with my Continental winters on I had absolutely no problems whatsoever even up and down the twisty gradients of the Pickering to Whitby road. My colleague did not fare so well as she has no winter tyres on her car and slipped and slid most of the way home.
So thank you winter tyres you did me a great service today and got me through some quite nasty snowfall, which incidentally is still falling even here in Whitby close to the sea. All I can say is thank god it's my day off tomorrow and to anyone considering the benefits of winter wellies for your Golf don't hesitate they will make all the difference and Continental TS830p's are the dogs danglies.
