Pistonheads happy positivity
« on: 08 February 2012, 19:10 »
I read pistonheads a lot but this is a new low:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=1110105&mid=0&i=0&nmt=RE%3A+How+to+ruin+a+Porsche+964+RS+-+video&mid=0

It's almost like they have employed DH to write for them

Defiantly a DH review
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

I feel at this juncture I should point out that early this afternoon I pointed out on the Vimeo page that the dub in the dubshed logo appears like a cock and balls.

There's an article I'm trying to find about Logo101 - if you think for a moment that your logo looks like a cock and balls then it looks like a cock and balls.  You should not use this logo.

In my search for this I have found this so far:

http://thingsthatlooklikecocknballs.com/

Which is piss funny.

But more to the point, there is this:

http://www.b3ta.com/features/phalliclogoawards/

Which makes the point beautifully.

To be honest I'm disappointed by the thingyheads team - not one of them spotted the phallic logo, all going for the easy lampoon of the Porsche.  They also appeared to miss the frankly easy-to-lampoon point that it's a VW show (or is it Dub as in Dubnobasswithmyheadman music and ting?  I don't know) being advertised with a f*cking Porsche.

Either way - a Carrera 4 which someone's p*ssed about with and stuck and RS logo on the boot is a f*cking travesty and the c*nt who did it should be shot and burned, not necessarily in that order.  It's not an RS.  Never will be.  That's like sticking a GTI badge on the back of a 2.0 8V Golf3.  It clearly should have been GLi.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
