Mirror 'parking'
« on: 08 February 2012, 15:32 »
Hi all,

I've just bought a MK5 2.0 FSI of 2005 vintage and I'm not sure if my car is fitted with mirrors that park when selected from the drivers door control panel. The panel has the symbol for 'park' mirrors but when I turn the knob to that position nothing happens. Should my car have them as standard and if so is it likely to be a broken switch ?  :undecided:

I don't think they would have been standard. On the mk6, they're part of the luxury pack option and not standard on any model.

I had to specify the luxury pack on my previous Golf as an option (mk5 GT170 PD TDI) to get them.

Mine doesn't have the option for parking, has L, heat, and R. Could be a replacement switch?
