I assume you mean the 1.4/1.8 single point?

Its a nice easy job

Remove the intake pipe, with 3 bolts on the top and the clip to the air box and remove from engine bay,  remove the 2 vac lines from the back of the throttle body,  then remove the two fuel lines,  remember which is in and which is out, disconnect the injector connector and the throttle sensor connectors.

Unbolt the 4 throttle body retaining bolts, then lift the whole unit away from the manifold,  you can then clean the throttle body, you can pinch the four black plastic clips that keep the throttle body together and disconnect the venturi from the injector to give it an even better clean!

Remove the 4 bolts that hold the gasket to the manifold, scrape off any left over mess.

Refitting is the reverse of removal

Check all vac lines while your in there, and watch your eyes when you disconnect the fuel lines, its not massivly high pressure but can squirt you in the eye if your not carefull!

thanks will give it a go. My friend looked at it and stated that I should get some new hoses first as they are quite worn out. I am hunting for cheap vacuum hoses and breather hoses before i attempt this job. My friend has phoned around and found breather hoses for a price of £45. This is a bit too expensive for me so I am looking for cheaper alternatives. I have got some advice on another post, but have no idea which hoses will fit and which ones are the right ones. There seems to be one  with with a bifurcation and then just some bent hoses. Apparently someone has done a homemade job with the hoses. I will post pictures when I can (link to it) and would appreciate advice as to how to get the hoses I need replaced as I don't have the part numbers. It is quite complicated for me really. Will keep you informed.

There are just two small vac pipes from the back of the manifold, halfords sell blue silicone hose, its over priced for what it is but its about £10 odd.  Will do the job for them, the other vac line is from the manifold and is for the brake servo, halfords also sell silicone fuel pipe in various sizes that may do the job, or your local motor factors should stock all sorts of silicone vac pipes,  you shouldnt need to pay more than £10-15 for the lot, and you will still have plenty left over.
