new car keys where from??

Hi all

I only got 1 key with my car and its a timpsons special,I realy could do with a spare but also another orginal looking key.I have looked on ebay but the ah profile ones on there are all china specials.

Are these any good?? If anyone has any better places to get some from that would be great.

I know VW heritage centre do 16v keys not sure if they do 8v ones though. Make sure your sitting down when you check.

They only have the one profile... I bought some for mine and they are the wrong ones..

They only have the one profile... I bought some for mine and they are the wrong ones..

Its not like you to want totally original parts

The replicas are probably cheap enough to be worth a go. I imagine more goes on how well the "original" is that its cut from. Ive got a replica lock set on mine and whilst its not OEM quality it seems okay.

16V keys eh? I've got one original, intact one that lives in a safe drawer, but the other one that gets used, has the cover bit broken off. It would be nice to have 2 complete ones to satisfy my OCD.
