Why does every bodyshop produce finished articles with DRY EDGE ?
Why does every bodyshop produce finished articles, orange peeled - ter f**k.
Technical answer please.
Not
every bodyshop finishes with a dry edge, and not every bodyshop leaves orange peel! generally, orange peel is created by the painter spraying with caution, and a few other factors thrown in, that are far too boring to discuss, but rest assured, if the painter put the paint on any wetter, he would get runs! orange peel can be dealt with via colour sanding, typically using a fine grade of wet/dry and machine polishing.. a good painter can duplicate the peel effect to match the paint applied in the factory!
Dry edges are down usually to poor equipment and/or too much heat, or just a crap painter!
Technical conclusion, you get what you pay for!
