Quick question- hub to arch measurement....
« on: 04 February 2012, 14:19 »
ok, so I'm looking to purchase some wheels and would like to know the clearance/measurement in mm from the hub face to my arch.

The wheels im looking at are here:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Minilite-Design-13x7-Mini-Midget-Imp-Wheels-x-4-NEW-/140522505594?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item20b7cb457a#ht_3202wt_924

measurement guidelines here...

http://www.randr-alloys.co.uk/media/RandR-Wheel-measurement-check.pdf

The guy on the phone reckons I need about 108mm clearance. Will that be enough? my car isnt outside to jack up and measurement. My car is an F reg gti 8v...

Any help appreciated as always.

off the top of my head if I'm working it out right standard wheels are around et35. So you are going to have to run 30mm spacers to achieve et37 which will sit nicely in the arch. I think!!

Et - 7 will never work, add a 30mm spacer and the will be miles outside the arch.
