Cons are weight, drive train power losses and less ability to steer with the throttle. Nothing can touch them in tricky conditions though.

RWD or FWD if you want a compromise.

I voted FWD as I've only ever driven FWD cars.

I'd be interested in AWD though as frankly the roads around here are terrible and we get a lot of nasty weather. RWD doesn't hold much interest particularly.

Don't know should be an option!

RWD is fun for titing about sideways   but AWD is faster most of the time and the more intresting the conditions the bigger the advantage

I voted AWD. I borrowed my uncles 2.7 petrol Bi-turbo Audi allroad a few years ago and even though it weighs as much as a panzer tank and it's a big car it cornered pretty damn well. And AWD launch just throws you back.
