Um, let's all not forget, before the "not like the old days" hand wringing gets fully under way, that the Mk.3 got it in the neck for not being like a Mk.1 or 2. Give the Mk.7 a fair shot.

the mk3 may have got stick for not looking like the mk1 or 2 but at least it didnt look like every other car on the road at the time, which is whats happening to all modern cars

I think the head lights have a little scirroco influence and the back just makes me think Seat. Doesn't look very "Golfy", but I suppose things have to evolve in some way... Undecided on this one  :undecided:
