Hi guys

Can you help?

Took it to the dealer they said all is fine and the harsh ride is down the the shocks that I have changed.  I changed them to Bilstein B4 shocks (gas) and the technician I took the car out with said it seems as though the shocks are very hard hence the hard ride.  So my question is seeing as the ride is so intolerably harsh should I change to standard VW ones and will they be that much different?

Also will the powerflex rear beam bushes I had installed exaggerate the issue also?

Your response would be greatly received as car is in the stealers getting some random warranty work on coils (which I knew nothing about) so if you think it is worth changing the shocks I guess I'll call and ask them to do the job.

Powerflex bushes are hard as fook.. So they would be part of it and i think the shocks just added the finishing touch To your hard ride.. I ha powerflex bushes in my dogbone mount changed back to standard eventually i could not take the harshness. espicially if you live somewhere full of humps and pot holes :lipsrsealed:

Y did you not go for tt or vrs bushes?

I also have a bmw 325 sports coupe also and was reeally pleased with the powerflex bushes on them, hence why I tried them on the 1.8t

guess I should of checked..

Just googled bilstein shocks and they are notoriously hard as mentioned by a few people

The coil issue is a recall on the coilpacks that can be faulty on later 1.8T's  all for free
