Sounds promising, i doubt it'll be out in 2012 though, the basic mk7's will be first as usual followed by the GTI a year later. :undecided:

Weight savings sounds the best part, bet buyers won't see the cars being cheaper though, they need more than 230bhp imo

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

All sounds good, some of it is not new though...The more recent Tdi's already have balancing shafts.
