Sounds like a good buy. It's good to hear of someone "making do" with a nice car at the right price, rather than paying over the odds for a new one with lots of option boxes ticked. In 2-3 years time, yours will be worth just as much as the persons who's taken delivery of a brand spanker at the same time.

I like the camper too. I know what you mean about the feeling you get driving it. I get a similar one on the rare occassion that I go for a pootle round in my Mk2.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

You appear not to have 8" wide front and 9" wide rear wheels...
Or -4 degrees of rear negative camber...
Or any 'stretch' or 'poke' going on...
There appears to be some ground clearance...so no air ride?
Not even a bra!

Big respect! I like it
That's a very, very, pretty Mk2.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

Great impulse buy; I'm sure you won't regret it......enjoy!

Really like the wafflebus - have always fancied the idea of doing a road trip around the UK in a VW camper van............maybe one day when work doesn't get in the way (a few years away)!

Have fun with the GTI - look forward to seeing the pictures.
