Got a few bits to fit tomorrow (how romantic, first valentines off in 9 years and I'm playing with the car  ) Thanks JV for the quick delivery and tax disc holder, muchos appreciated  :afro:

I'm thinking of Velcro in the recessed areas and number plate tape on the flat areas as prescribed, best places to get Velcro is a sewing shop I guess?

Get it done then Jord
http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/shop/golfgti-co-uk-number-plate-frames/

Just wondering if I've got the correct screws in my many pots jars ( rear has some proper screw holes already ) or if I have to make a trip to Halfords, blud.

Other things to sort out in time are:
Replace Front bumper with new/good condition unit, got a scuff and a few clips are broke, but still sits fine.
Passenger side head lamp, a bit old and "foggy", OEM (£100+) or cheaper ebay unit (£60)  :undecided:
O/S/R door sticks a bit when opening, think it's the door card loose at the bottom and catching, hopefully it's the yellow clips which I've got a few of.
Bonnet release mech

and a good old service

That stuff looks good, ta  Now do I trust myself with a drill near the car?  'course I do! :lipsrsealed:

On UKP too, not a lot on the V5 from what I can see, but sure it'll be useful for other bits and general info :afro:

need to find my damn bluetooth OBDII dongle for some fun logging.

Take the headlights off the car first

I know if it was me I'd slip and end up destroying my bodywork!

Then I'd have to get it reaimed  I was contemplating on doing it that way though as the thought of damaging the car with a drill and sand paper isn't at all appealing.

Managed to do the front number plate, but not the rear as the anti theft lugs on the boot lid are a PITA and my corldless drill ran out of juice with 1 battery (hadn't been charged up since it was last used 2 weeks ago) and the other battery I thought was on charge, but wasn't  :lipsrsealed: So the number plate is sitting in the rear window for the time being, will try to get it sorted tomorrow at work if I have time and if my cordless drill has the grunt to make a hole in metal

Also got the tax disc holder in.

That's very kind of you mate  is the part number 33-2125 ? According to their website it's the same filter for the 2001 2.3 V5 and 2000 2.5 V6.
