I'm not arguing that it isn't a twin cam as I'm not sure on that fact.

I always thought that if it's a twin cam that means it's identical.
The 16v isn't identical so I would only call that a DOHC.

The golf 3 16v is a dohc but I wouldn't call it a twin dohc.
And iv never heard/read it being mentioned as a twin cam, only a double overhead camshaft.
