lukes mk3 gti 8v the devils car

after 2 weeks of the derv, i got bored of not knowing what 30mph felt like, so now have this beauty,
heater matrix needs sorting, water pump, alternator and passenger door (not unlocking from fob and electric window not working), also need to look at the thermostat and other reasons why i can only get to 26mpg at 50mph

The derv just wasn't quick enough for me, the gti puts a smile on your face, it loves lift off oversteer also but it's a joy to drive, people say they're slow, but that's being compared to other cars, it's fast enough for me, read a review saying the mk3 was made more for comfort than being a b road go kart

turns out the water pump bearing has gone, i think it may be down to the alternator belt being left to slack so both will be replaced, was toying with a 1.6 civic, was pulling away, then his vtec kicked in

Mpg problems could be down to a faulty coolant temp sender.
