You also need new headlights as the adjuster screws (plastic) are broken allowing the headlight reflector to bounce about. Which is a mot failure in itself

I had the same problem it cost me £2 for a head light adjuster from the scrapper and it all depends whwhat your lights are to how legal the hids are

im getting rid of nthe hids fitted to my bora this week. hate the bloody things. feel like a d!ck everytime i have to drive at night. have people flash me coming the other way as they think i have full beam on. bright bloody blue headlights. just waiting to get knicked.

Nice one... Can't stand cars with ebay hids blinding us... Plus they look sh#t !!

You will need clear head lights (mk4 style), light washers, auto levellers, below a certain power output but im not sure 5000k rings a bell but i might be wrong, anything other than a yellow or white light is illegal. I think that's it. And my golf doesn't look sh!t thanks

its has nothing to do with clear headlights pal

they have to be projector lenses (as per my headlights)... 

Hids look chav in anything other than projectors, not to mention the light scatter is blinding... hence making the whole car look sh!t.. i think thats what he means  :wink:

They do have to be clear but you are right they have to be in projectors that's one thing i missed out my last post. It says where I've read that they can't be frosted as they refract the light
