Just installed CM7 on my Motorola Defy (as M said they'll never release anything newer than 2.2) and its leagues apart from the stock Motorola ROM, its like having a new phone again.

Trying to restore everything (selectively) but this is a really impressive ROM - built in overclocking/undervolting, tethering, no more Motorola bloatware :)

CM7 is great, though when I switched back to an customized HTC Sense rom I found it smoother/quicker  :undecided: But seems to be doing an iPhone on the reception front on this rom :rolleyes: Probably switch back to CM soon.

Damn, I've been looking through MIUI screenshots and that looks pretty cool. Time for a Nandroid backup and switch to a new ROM :D

It's def my phone, even with CM it's losing signal. Most likely caused by a cup of coffee a few months ago - roughly the time it started randomly losing signal.

No, doesn't bother me a great deal tbh, just today when I was waiting for my car it kept losing signal so fretted about missing a call :grin:

If it does become a problem I can upgrade from the end of Jan, most likely going WP7 with the next phone though.

Android is all well and good, but WP7 is really good and different from iOS and Android in a good way.

and my battery life is back to sh!t with CM7.1 :rolleyes:

I just installed CM7 today as last night Oxygen suddenly decided to start FC everything and when I rebooted it started looping on the boot screen. Restored to last backup but that was May '11, so as I had lost so much I just decided to try CM7 and so far so good. Feels so much better than Oxygen.

I've not had a chance to test a whole day. My phone sits idle most of the time, but its on target for 33hrs - about the same as a stock ROM :rolleyes:
