Engine damper???
« on: 18 May 2005, 16:50 »
My Mk. 3 'wobbles', to be more specific, it 'wobbles' under load at between 20 and 40 mph, not a handling problem but what seems to be coming from under the bonnet.  Its almost as if it is misfiring, but it isn't so all I can put it down to is warn engine mounts.  I have changed two of the three (1.8 Driver engine) as the third is a pain to get to and it still doesn't seem to have made a difference.  So I am looking to add some sort of damper to the top end of the engine.  Has anyone purchased such and item?  I know from the days of my mini you could get them specifically for them.  Usefull as those engine mounts where shocking.

I could be going off in the wrong direction and the problem be something else but what I don't know..... Any advice?  Engine runs sweet as a nut.....
