That's about as close a picture I have to hand.

You have 2 options.  Either have them cut and (1) lacquered or (2) leave them bare alloy.  The ones in the picture are bare alloy which look very shiny indeed but you will need to polish them a lot to keep them looking that way and stopping them going dull.  I've heard that lacquer will make them duller but you won't need to polish them every week although if the water gets under the lacquer you'll need to sort them out.

And this is with them on

Yes you can have them done but as said they will be a pain to look after. If laquered there may be a good chance of stone chips that will allow moisture under the laquer and blow them. Keep them standard, much nicer and easier to look after.

Bear in mind that standard BBS RAs are hard work to look after anyway.

It takes me as long to clean the wheels as the rest of the car???

Yep any metal polish will do.  They are hard work but if your committed and keep on top of the build up of brake dust/dirt they shouldn't take too long.  Those RA's are my show wheels but TBH I don't do shows any more.  Still look as good as the day they were done.
