nope i wouldnt, not a big fan of the mk5 or the mk6 tbh. lost too much of the boxy shape of a golf IMO


You can't have the boxy shape any more...it doesn't meet current legislation. Sadly, that's progress folks.

really? never new that... guess thats why im not designing cars though  :grin:

Have to say, I'm with Elvi on the boxy looks good.

Unless you've driven one for more than the period of a test drive, you are not in a position to judge.  The mk6 is actually a very nice car to drive and being based on the mk5 platform is very similar to that although interior and handling are greatly improved.

An I'd love a mk6 for a daily, as much as I love my mk2's there comes a time (most days in fact) when you just want to jump in, turn a key an go! I'd definitely be down VW making a purchase if I wasn't getting married this year......

You'd get touchy if you'd spend +£30k (or whatever they cost) and people came on here, which is supposed to be home of the Golf GTI and started lampooning your relatively-gently depreciating new car!  :grin:
