Don't start me off on this waste of money and council tax.
Now have got it we have to support it as too much money is tied up in it, but just like the referendum on Europe we did not get the choice we were promised

Surely a lot of businesses big and small will benefit from the Olympics

To be honest I'm not that fussed either way.

Olympics has ruined everything for me, trains will run less frequent due to more loading and unloading at each station, no changeover services at Dartford and limited service to Gravesend... oh plus this year south eastern said, the ticket fair will only go up for people traveling within greater London not further afield. So living next to Gravesend means my commute to work will be ruined! Also due to nature of my job no annual leave is allowed during Olympics and train travel went up 9% which south eastern lied about again

Oh and Woolwich dockyard will be shut during the games.

Tomorrow Greenwich becomes a royal borough, Greenwich itself is nice (just town center) but the rest of the surrounding which is part of Greenwich council is a hell hole. Why waste and make Greenwich a royal borough, its not in the same league as royal Tunbridge Wells.

To the tune of 14 bn in two weeks? I doubt it.

But it's no bother, once the tories have finished off the NHS there should be plenty of spare money. Enough for the Olympics and the odd MP to get their moat cleaned

Surely they should pay me to buy a propery within the Greenwich borough, there are some descent area's but they come already with a hefty premium, if this wasnt the case I would of bought my house there.

But as said what a waste.

It's true, absolutely no jobs have or will be created as a result of the Olympics. It will bring no tourism money in whatsoever, or help promote the UK on a global stage.

Let's just do nothing and go back to reading the Daily Mail. God I miss Diana.

Far from being a Tory but its the last Labour Government who have fecked it for us, now they say they will not reverse the cuts the Condems have started.
Cant forgive myself for voting labour as I am to blame for most fo the sh!te we are in now.......
Still at least we will not get the olympics again for a while after the mess we will make of this one
