1.8T AGU PCV

Changed it yesterday the plastic pipe that goes into oilfilter housing had broke in 2 pieces , on the rubber seal and half way down it.Also the rubber pipe from inlet manifold had a split before the bleed valve. Do you think it made a different fixing it apart from oil leaking out of it ?.
AGU 1.8T. Mods done: R32 front bumper, turborev smic, ngk platinum spark plugs, uprated pancake pipe, demon motorsport boost hoses, forge 007 dv, forge engine cover, r-tec stage 1 map ,home made cold airfilter ,run on 98 ron fuel and castrol edge 0w 40 oil. Advanti racing alloys.

mines agu and went in pretty much same place mate and i was only boosting 14psi since iv bodged it up for now till catch can goes on im boosting 19-20psi so made a big difference  :smiley:


 i drive a golf thats why im skint!!!!


losing interest in the golf and now not so skint !!!!!

leaks anywhere in that area can cause lumpy idle, loss of power and poor fuel economy

It seems the same.  :grin: It always ticks over fine and pulls good with it leaking. :drool: Need to fix rocker cover gasket next.  :angry: I havnt tryed full boost yet. As a w :lipsrsealed: driver smashed my wing mirrow off . :rolleyes:

I think you will be lucky with the oil since is is after the turbo, but it could be going through the rest of the PCV system and through the air intake.

I capped mine off (from the inlet) and got rid of the 'T' valve.  Such a simple job to do and eliminates any area for boost leaks.  With the Charcoal canister deleted aswell....the area for possible leaks is VERY small.

will removeing charcoal canister cause problems with m.o.t on emissions etc  :undecided:

Nope, its there to vent tank vapours back into the engine.
