He seems fairly well composed but could do with 'bulking up' a little more. That mcdermot guy looks like a right pie eating gypo, I dont think he has actually trained, just relied on his weight to win fights

McDermott is a seasoned fighter, he might look overweight, but he is very tough.
I think Price is an animal, that upper cut was a big punch!

Haven't really been following Price, been following the Khan v Peterson controversy!

Price looks like he could work on his defence, he looked vunerable at least in that fight anyway.

I thought Tyson Fury was the next Big thing.  :undecided:

So David Price is now in for a shot at the British/Commonwealth belts? Who currently holds them?
Classic Green Corrado VR6 Storm | Jetex Cat back | BMC CDA | VT mounts | Bilstein B12 | 288mm front brakes | Mk4 rear brakes | Goodridge braided hoses | BBS RX228s | Shortshifter | Lupo wipers | Uprated headlight loom | All red rears | Refreshed leather | Fresh paint |

Tyson Fury does I thought, but Price has already beaten him at amateur.

Fury's a hype job plain and simple - he puts bums on seats because he's an all action fighter plus it helps that he's really quite large - 6ft 9 iirc. He is however a crude slugger and has a vulnerable chin, as shown in his last fight where he was put down by a Canadian nobody.

Price however is an Olympic Bronze medallist and has risen to the occasion with every step up in class he has faced. A future heavyweight champ? Not so sure but then he's only had 12 fights. Although McDermott came in at a stupidly heavy weight for the Price bout, it's worth noting that he went the distance with Fury in a hotly disputed decision and in their rematch it took Fury 9 rounds to get him out of there.

Price is far more polished and also has big power. There are doubts about his chin as he went to jelly in the Amateurs quite easily. That said no-one's really troubled him since he turned pro. If he fights Fury, he should have it all wrapped up by round 6.

Keeping schtum. Mostly.
