Tool for removing mk4 head bolts???
« on: 18 May 2005, 09:25 »
The guy who changed the cambelt on my mk2 yesterday has a mk4 in with a cracked head but can't source a tool for undoing the head bolts. I'm not familiar with the mk4 so I said I'd post on here to see if anybody can help. The bolts are a little like a torx head but the splines are square in profile rather than triangular. Has anybody had to buy a tool for these bolts and if so where from???

Cheers
Toby

Hi Toby,
sounds like you need a "ribe" type tool, I think halfords do them.
