Golf 4 Estate suspension advice needed !!
« on: 25 January 2012, 20:20 »
Hi people , my 2001 1.6 ( :embarassed:) has a broken rear spring , so i need a new one but will change both !

my problem is for 2 new springs for the rear its going to cost about £100 , but i could pay that for a set of lowering springs for the whole car , so i wanted to know if Estates use the same springs as Hatchbacks , as nowhere lists any specific for the Estate ,

Also if i do go the lowered route what brand are a good spring , dont want anything too fancy or too crap

 Cheers Dudes

If they are the same springs then I'm sure in classifieds or ebay people will be selling just the springs...

the estate springs are longer than for the hatchback, i think the struts are too.

when i lowered mine on coilovers i had to have the rear adjusted all the way up just to match the fronts which were nearly wound all the way down.
