a Simota Aeroform induction kit today brand new and as left a mahhoosive hole in my pocket this is the 1st mod to the engine im going to attempt myself and the 1st engine mod that my golf has had since the re-map before i purchased it nearly 2 years ago (still with all stock internals). Im wanting to get either the Forge 007P or im in 2 minds about giving the new 008 ago.

There has been a couple of topics on here about the 008 and i hate to be the noob to bring it up again but im thinking just to stick with getting the 007P just to save the hastle of anything in the long run "going wrong". And im embarrassed to say but i really do want to hear abit of noise coming from the engine department.

So my question wheres the best place and price to get either? Any input would be great.

Cheers.

hi mate tbh you cant go wrong with either the 007 or 008. The 008 is just the newer version which means you could prob pick up the 007 for a good price somewhere. i got mine from here months ago for £60 with 2 springs.

If you have the extra cash then you could get the 008 as both will do the same job.

Awesome also do their own which look nice and are a decent price, i know a good few who run them aswell.

Aslong as you stick to the 007 or 008 you will not go wrong

hope that helps mate

Dunno what a 008 is........ sounds like a colleague of Bonds............ Cant see how it could be any better than a 007..........  You shoulda bought my old Aeroform from my tight mate that didnt give it back with my car. I think he was only after a 1er for it. They look and sound awesome but as its a turbo car, the intake temp really doesnt make much difference IMO as as soon as it hits ze turbo it heats up lots then is cooled in the intercooler......... Im now opting for a panel filter

A good place to get a cheap 007P is awesome. They are just forge 007Ps with awesome engraved on the side. They are still available via awesomes ebay site
If you can afford it, go with the 008 though as its the new version and will save you getting outdated quickly  They are aslo smaller so will fit easier under the engine cover.

I would of thought the noise will be similar on both valves though?

Cheers for the input gents. Just having a look now on ebay and on Forges website it doesnt actualy say what the valves come with i.e how many springs?, What spring would you like when purchasing? or does it even come with the vacum pipe?

I know that all of this has been covered so many times but i wanna get it all delivered before the weekend so i can fit it all and give me somthing to do lol.

Cheers again.

the 008 comes with all springs, some little spacers and the tool to rebuild the valve.
the 007p can be built with whatever spring you want (green in your case if its not remapped yet), just ask when ordering. To buy another spring is about £10-20 i think. Thats the other benefit of the 008 at the moment.
Neither will come with vaccum piping to fit it. Get some 4mm silicone hosing and jubilee clamps (or cable tie).
007P will be cheaper from awesome than forge.

Hope thats helpful!

bang - theres a bit more saying that the 008 defo comes with a couple springs. also a bit cheaper than on the forge website! (though if you ring forge they will likely match it for you, very helpful bunch)

Cheers mate really helpful i was sayin i would opt for the 007P but now reading that im being pushed towards the 008 lol i got the induction kit coming so i dont wanna be let down if the 008 doesnt make much of a noise lol.

The golf is remapped already mate, was mapped before i had it but no engine mods have been done its all stock at the moment.

Decisions decisons i could just go for the 008 seein as not many people have gone for it yet and make some videos and stuff of how it all sounds when its all on.
