the car i swapped my beloved mk3 gti for decent pics
« on: 25 January 2012, 10:26 »
ok as you all know i swapped my mk3 for a bora last week but the only pics i had was from the previous owners advert so i thought i would take a couple today and show you guys it propply.

here it is. not bad for a swap and after all the little bits iv fixed on it the only real priblems i have found is no heat from heater and need to loose the hid kit.

im pretty happy i swapped now tbh and once i have polished the wheels its gona look sweet.
not sure if im ment to post here as not a mk3 but seeing as i am showing you what i swapped my mk3 for its kinda the right place

Looks pretty good mate, the wheels aren't really my cuppa but you like them and that's all that matters.
Really need to get that badge cut out sorted though.

Bonnet now sorted just put the original grill on it that was in a box in the boot. Looks right now.

As said in the previous thread, it's a bit Marmite but I think bonnet bras look ace on these with the debadged grille.  I like it mate, good swap and glad you've got most of the issues sorted now. What was the problem with the rear camber in the end?

There's wasn't a problem. I didn't no that a common fault with the mk4 golf and the bora was that alot of them the wheels poke and extra 10mm or so on the right. Due to having slotted bolt holes on the swing arm brackets so just needs the bolts loosening and tapping across a few mm.

Yeah I have been looking at bonnet bras on eBay but they all have they badge cut out bit on them. I want one that don't so it covers the cut out. Till I find one I am keeping the badges grill on.

Surely the cost of a skanky-ole car bra would pay for the bonnet to be rectified properly?
