Howdy folks
First post on here and a new owner of a mark2 8v
,Bought the car and didnt notice any sounds,but later on that day i started to notice a ever louder,mechanical tick coming from maybe just underneath the gear leaver or front end.....its not the engine or exuast
as it only comes on when decelerating and in neutral its less aparent as well but still slighty noticableFor the first 20 mins say driving to work u cant notice it takes a good 20 /30 mins then it becomes noticable and louder just every time u step off the the gass it makes this horrible ticky grindy noise almost like cogs not aligned together! The car feels great and when u step on the gas its fine...Any ideas totally baffled here...Im thinkin gearbox,driveshaft
