Hi, I'm new here and have a mk4 1.8t. I have owned it now for 3 years, its all standard plus polybushed and every sensor replaced. I look after it well and love it. Since I been playing with it, and this car has not been mapped or bigger turbo etc, its all completely original, it has kept up with a 2008 m3, an s500 a few scoobies and even an evo, though that left me for around 100 mtr lol, my question is, can't these people drive their flash cars properly, or is my car gonna blow up. My mpg is fantastic at any speed, pulls with constant accelleration from 2000rpm to redline and still wants to go. It's been running like this for over a year without any hickups apart from spark plugs which once replaced from bosche to ngk, the car has ran like silk. Is my car running lean, and being an engineer, I know that cosworth (mahle) built pistons for our cars. I also know the pressure and temp these things can take as well as our incredibly strong block and head. I have the agu engine so no 279valve and no limp mode. Our little k03 has only a 4mm shaft so apparently a poor point. But these were tested to destruction by Borgwarner, the makers and they pushed them to 300'000 rpm and still never failed after 10 mins of glowing. Oh, I have never lost against any ctr, cupra r, tt's or ashtray vxr. Have I discovered a secret or shall I wait for the big bang.

What a load of crap! A standard AGU would be absolutely murdered by those cars listed above

Oh my days.

Who honestly gives a feck.  There is so much tripe in this thread it stinks.  Lets face it, most people who own fast cars can't drive fast. My car isn't the fastest but it has me as a driver and as a result, between us, we would be able to beat everything mentioned. So there. [/End thread]
