clio 182 vs type R?

Id go for clio.  Awesome car, mate had one around ~200bhp and would pull to 160mph very easily.

Type r's you have to frash the living hell out of them to go eney where now the Clio 197 not a bad choice of motor would be good race

Replaced our mk4 1.8t with a Type R about 5 years ago, both brand new when purchased and both standard.  1.8t was no match for the Type R in performance not in a million years, only thing it bettered the Type R in was comfort.  I've recently had a 1.8t that was reputedly 210bhp and it was still no match for a standard Type R, end of story girls.

Given the choice I'd prefer the Honda.  Much nicely packaged, better engineered and ultimately it was more fun to drive.

Not doubting German engineering, just proving that honda is better

Mk4 gold is more about cruising, comfort and having abit of poke, the honda is more focused but can still be a daily. Old people and bad backs will always back the golf.....

Given the choice id have an R32, if im going to have bad MPG then i may aswell have a grunty V6 than a henry hoover
