i cant believe a mk4 turbo would keep up anywhere near a type r not in a million years

honda civic type r
Kerb Weight 1204kg

golf mk4 turbo

kerb wieght
1345kg

type are producing a further 17 bhp than a 180bhp golf and also weighs 130kg less

Two very different cars with two totally different power deliveries

I could pull away from a Type R in 6th when my old TDI was still standard    He changed down a couple of gears and then most likely got done for speeding about a mile down the road as he went flying past a speed camera

i understand that rhyso with a derv but i cant imagine a petrol being able to pull away and as they dont produce the tarque like a derv
