£10K Mk2?
« on: 21 January 2012, 20:12 »
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3517684.htm

First glance I spotted the rear lights, front spots with stickers on and armour door plates. What else is non original, and who the hell would pay that for it?
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I'm all for pushing the price up on MK2's but that's ridiculous.

I suppose the plate might bump up the price if your Superted was your arch enemy.

I believe that these prices will become common place, especially that the economy is starting to pick up... seen it all before in the early 90s when the price of an E Type Jag shot up to 70 to 80k and more for the right car, yet only a few years earlier, you couldn't give them away, supply and demand is the name of the game.

Stickers, lights and door guards are all correct for the year. Nice car, is it worth the money? Maybe if you're a collector. If it was me I'd be looking for a mint very early 8v with the small bumpers.
