Have been getting spares ther for a while now. Had a very bad experience with them. Their prices are roughly the same as new after they charge you vat on a second hand item ??????? - what all that about. They do have a lot of stuff - but with it comes an extremely bad attitude  -horrendously expensive parts - and shocking customer service. Avoid them like the plague. Rather order new oem items from gpc vw audi and avoid the hassle.

Also you will particularly enjoy smoke being blown in your face from the old boy behind the counter.

walked into this didn't ya?

i always look up 'new' prices before getting quotes from scrappies and would consider anything over 1/2 price too much compared to new.

if they really quoted you ex-vat then charged.. its a bit of an oversight.. but very commonly overlooked by customers.. you cant really slag them off for it.. the same thing will happen at most places in the motor trade.. you have to remember to ask if they're quoting ex-vat if they dont volunteer the info. most people in the motor trade arent used to dealing with the general public.. so will quote ex-vat prices out of habit.

recently i paid 25 notes for an ISV from a scrappy.. they are over 200 quid from VW.. so quite a saving
Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

yeah i know i am a bit of a plonker for contintually going there but you know what its like sometimes when you need acouple of odds and ends and cant be bothered to wait. Some bits i bought today came to total of 30 quid  - 2 mk2 gti front indicators
                                                                                                 - 2 side repeaters
                                                                                                 - 2 parcel shelf straps - all second hand apart from 1 front indicator.
Was recently charged 15 pounds for the top section of an 8v airbox - that was after them reducing the price.
Oh well suppose scrappies can be handy but to be honest i dont think i can handle situations like walking in, being the only person cueing for assistance and being seemingly invisible for 5 minutes and then the person behind the counter acknowledging you. Whats up with that !?!

Oh well today was the last day i ever go there again.
All the best to them
