gravity holds us down, the moon is made of cheese, and tides are used for surfing.

all i need to know  :grin:

was watching a bit of that program, but now turned over to watch some comedy thing

Yeah knew all that, but never gave anymore thought, that the water stays pulled towards the moon, and its the spinning of the earth that controls the tides... obvious now :rolleyes:

Dont know what I thought Jay, never really thought about it since school days... the point being though, that Brian Cox is an expert on making things clear, and simple :grin:

Am I the only person to hate his voice / way he speaks, he was on Radio 2 earlier and I had to switch off.
