Hi all, fitted my mud flaps today. I think it looks better with them :-)

I personally prefer it without but they do serve a purpose so ETTO, lovely motor though mate!  :cool:

don't like the rear ones but the front ones are very discreet IMO and have saved a lot of crap being flung down the side of my car

Mud Flaps to me fall into a similar category as cheap plastic covers for your iPhone or leaving plastic on your seats (80's style!). Spoiling the looks just to keep it sliightly cleaner for the next owner? I'm also skeptical on their effectiveness anyway. They'll probably stop the heavy muck hitting your sills, but you can bet the sides and rear of the car will still suck up all the road spray anyway.

Personal preference...is without, but am loving your gtd in general mate...just makes me want mine even more as it's in same colour!

also the front ones are barely noticeable. i love mine

I guess we all have an opinion. I say leave them off. The first time you scrape them on something you run over or when you park, you'll be taking them off. I like the cleaner look.

Flaps are a no no IMO.
Mk7 GTI. DBP, DCC, Winter pack. Mine since new, July 2013.
GTI no. 4. Golf no. 5.  VW no. 7.
