Coilovers

Anyone running coilovers or uprated suspension?
I'm looking to change mine for something which will give the car a small drop and won't be too harsh a ride.

Been recommended KW Variant2 coilovers by Awesome GTI at Manchester which they will supply and fit for £1100 but i'm not sure as i remember a post somewhere in which NeilGTI had a problem with his.

Any views or recommendations would be appreciated as there's so many kits to choose between and would prefer feedback from actual owners and not stockists.

when i do mine i will be going for bilstein b12 kit with eibach springs. more of a fast road set up rather than track set up.

can't be bothered with rusty threads on coilovers and i wouldn't want to go really low so coil overs aren't for me personally.

Bilstein b12 kit with eibach springs will drop my car too much and i would prefer to be able to adjust the drop as i've got 19's on at the moment but appreciate the feedback.

If you only want a small drop and to retain a reasonably comfortable ride, then why spend all that money. Surely a decent set of springs is all you need?

From an old farts perspective, however much you spend on coilovers, the first time you drive the car you'll think "WTF have I just done."

Hmmmm maybe but the thought of being able to adjust the ride height, dampening etc appeals more than a fixed set of springs, especially having 19's on the car at the mo.

Been there done that with coilovers and never again! Yeah they make the car look slick if not over lowered and handle much better but it's so harsh to drive  plus bearings, bushes take a beating from my own personal experience.

Why not just a small drop on some good quality springs?

In reality, how many people actually alter their coilovers? For the ultimate adjustability you need air.

Any suggestions on springs kenny?, did look at Koni fsd/eibach combi but awesome put me off saying I would have issues with having 19's.
