what facilaties do we need at said venue ?

i know a few large places that i chould get the use of for free, admitdly out in the sticks  but may be abel to sort barns marques to do stuff in,  and probaly a trailer full of bogs.

may be a possoblity for those intrested to have an outing to a venue with multi rolling road but i would have to ask very nicely

and would need volonteers that actualy turn up to help with setup and tidy up tho or charge people and employ some minions to do it.
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

problem is location jord, some of the northern monkeys are afraid to head past watford gap

good luck mate, after the last forum birthday related event with pub, bbq etc etc all planned and laid out for a CRAP turn out, you have your work cut out.

Harewood VW fest FTW, i should be north by then

If something like this is done I'll help set up and tidy up.

I know randomjord said members only but my mate used to put up marques for a living so I'd try and drag his lazy work shy ars3 along to help set up.

Also a mate of mine runs a rodeo bull, inflatable bungee run and loads of that sort of stuff, should be able to get it cheep or to save outlay could tell him to do it pay as you play if people are interested in any of that sort of stuff? he does shows for hells angles and motorbike clubs so is used to an unruly bunch of drunks.

Current cars 1995 Golf gti colour concept 2.0 8v 156,000 miles. bmw 316 1.9 129,000. yeah, life's good!

tbh I think the event should be more than a glorified RR session.

What do you suggest, as its very difficult to cater for everyone's taste?

Already suggested quite a few ideas.

The best would be a multi-interest event with an open area for general show'n'shine, some track availability and perhaps a mobile RR.

It's by no means viable as it's definitely too far north but Crail, an airfield, offers track action, drag strip and plenty of open ground for parking so if we could get something like that but more accessible then I think that would be a winner.

Not big enough to arrange our own event then?

How do forums like UK Passats do it then?
