Seen this sort of thing before Rob, turned out to be kids had found a new way of silently breaking glass would you believe!! wont say how they did it, but once they have seen it done, its addictive! Ive even had a go myself, because I didnt believe it! Worth warning other garages in the area about it, and will more than likely be a passing phase till the novelty wears off...

Hit a spark plug with a hammer, break off the white porcelain. Throw at window. It makes a very silent sound and spiders instantly.

Or use a glass hammer.

That looks to me as if it's been done with a solid object though as glass hammers etc and the porcelain spider they don't tend to go right through as such but shatter and stay in place.

Obviously they could have just pushed it through after but I'm willing to bet they ran about hitting them.

Any paint damage?

Why not just tell everyone how its done! which is probably why Rob now has lots of broken windows

I can almost certainly guarantee that I knew about this, before you were even born
Kids in Leicester recently rediscovered it, probably read it on the internet...
