I'm 5ft 11.9" (6ft ), but I'm aiming for 74kg, there abouts. Thing is I've always had a bit of a belly, even when I was weightlifting hard. If I lose the belly, that'll be my mission complete. Need to start cycling and running, and doing it religiously!

So many myths in this thread. Broscience at its best. Next you will be telling me you have a 20 minute window of protein after a workout

Meal frequency myth debunked

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9155494

You could actually eat only 1 meal a day provided it met your calorific and macronutrient goals
http://www.wannabebig.com/diet-and-nutrition/is-there-a-limit-to-how-much-protein-the-body-can-use-in-a-single-meal/

Protein after workout

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15570142

No carbs at night is still not 100%, though as long as you hit your goals through the day (carb wise) you would not need any at night, if you had not then the carbs you consume will be used as its within your macros. Carbs do not magically turn to fat at night, you still burn off calories and require food while you sleep. While its best to not consume all your carbs at night (proven to be bad for you) its fine to consume carbs.

I have gained 1.5 stone in 4 months, dropped body fat and increased muscle. I miss breakfast all the time, eat 3 times a day and consume carbs at night if its required to hit my calorie/macro goals. Wonder how many people in this thread practise what they preach and have had gains from it

just to add... do not eat anything after 7pm on an evening. and make sure you eat as soon as you are up in the morning. do not skip meals as this makes your body store excess fat also.

None of this is true, ignore it

For every site with "facts" there is another one that says the complete opposite.

The above is true because it something I have used and stuck to over a 12 week period and seen the results. If you dont buy it because a lab tells you otherwise then dont.... but dont stop others taking on good advice.

My best mate and training partner studied this stuff for years and has over 200 clients using his services. The results speak for themselves. Hows that for broscience

Right I need to loose 3.3 stone to be on the race weight. I haven't got 3.3 stone of fat so how do you loose muscle?

I'm 104kg in race clothes and helmet and need to be 84.
Ive got a diet to loose fat and iv been body building for 4 years now. No matter what I do in the gym I always pump up which can't be good?
Iv been doing cv then very light weights and loads of reps, all non stop to keep the heart rate up.

Should I be cutting out the weights altogether?

Would love some weight loss tips
I only know how to get big

You mention your weight. How much body fat are you carrying? Most people like to talk about how much weight they have but never mention how much fat % they have. This shows the muscle they really have.

It seems that you could possibly lose quite a bit of fat due to the fact that you say your strength has decreased recently. If you were a lean 100kg, this wouldnt neccessarily happen.

Just because you pump up, it doesn't mean you are getting and bigger, its mainly just a feeling that will subside after a few days.

Diet is the most important part of training. Control that, and you may get to your target (depending on many factors including genetics). But losing 20kg will take a while, so as mentioned earlier, you may do best to find another class of racing.

Thanks a lot!! Lot of good info here

Think body fat is about 11/12% so only got about 6/7% to loose. And I have had enough of body building now. Don't get enough enjoyment out of it.

My main goal is to get down to the weight, then new goal is to win races  I will stay in this class as I will eventually be on weight. Loosing will only make me get small faster.

I have two bikes already but ain't had them out for a year. Think il get the identiti dr jekyll out as I use that for dirt and have a single speed on it. Should keep the heart going.

Thanks I think I know what to do now. Cheers for the info and help

I'm 5.10 and weigh 17 stone 4. But there is no fat.
That's a strange one. Iv never had to loose muscle before. That is a lot of weight to loose mate. And if you don't have alot of fat to loose the weight it's going to be hard. As already said. Run. And also get yourself an exersize bike for when your at home watching tv.
Get some winstrol down ya neck
