Basically thinking of buying a hydraulic press, for pressing in bearings , bushes etc. So probably only use it a few times a year. Seen a few on eBay for 70 quid , just wondering if anyone else has brought one?
Any good it's a six ton jobby
Cheers

You would be better looking for at least a 10t really

I think mine's 10t or something.
Invaluable when you do a wheel bearing or something.

Yep 10 or 12 ton is more than enough fir your needs. Don't worry about spandangle, you can't bend it, top of the Market stuff. All you need is a bench mounted or stand alone hydraulic piston controlled by a handle with a guage in between. Simple stuff is all u need and there are lots on eBay for about the price you looked at.

Just buy the 12 ton version
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12-Ton-Industrial-Hydraulic-Workshop-Garage-Shop-Press-/120737628034?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c1c85ff82
I bought a very similar one about 6 years ago, i went halves with the father-in-law.
I've used it quite a few times, an absolute bargain, even more so if you can split the cost.
