A bit late maybe but Devolo do an Ethernet over power adaptor which comes with built in wireless. I have a pair and they work a treat.

ok an update....

Had my 50MB line installed today and spent quite a bit of time discussing the problems I have been having with o2. He states that the virgin router uses n rather then g which is much better.

So once its all set up we take the laptop back to my desk and test the speed..... 1.5 . I was getting 3.5-4 from o2

Anyway... he then told me to try the little usb dongle thing to help things along after they had gone. Well as expected that was no better. I expect the network plugs to be delivered early next week. Lets hope things improve then.  :undecided:

Yet to try the laptop elsewhere as I had to go out... but will be testing it once I am home. Not impressed so far

Sorry mate I've already said I had wireless issues with my lads one that runs on N router tech!
I've part solved my issues by ordering a longer router coaxl cable and sticking it in the hall way
Mohamed comes to hill instead of hill goes to Mohamed

In the settings there is a 5GHz setting you might want to try that and fixing a channel most Wireless old thech uses 2GHz so if you get a dongle make sure it uses 5Ghz to improve signal!

As for my useless information on my last post suck on eggs!
If all else fails stick a coat hanger into the back of it

Haaa yeah I saw that link yesterday and did read well most of it anyways!
They suggested the same thing, but I'm still expecting the SUPER V HUB ROUTER to have been better than I was told! I was expecting my mate in the USA to say "yeah Jay it rocks"
I might buy a Cisco Router heard good things about Cisco ones that can handle cable! Not cheap though

By the way what final speeds are you getting you should be hitting 55 from what I hear?

with the usb dongle the best i managed was 43 worst was 3 and some didnt even complete and hung. Without it was a measly .5

However I only managed to test it for about 5mins before I had to go out. Will give it a proper test tomorrow morning or tonight when I am home. Will be getting a good 'ol testing all over the house to compare from previous connection with o2 (which I stil have thanks to your thread )

I think you should give it some time plus reading the forum on Vmedia has some tips on improve range, weird I find my router jumps speeds its like it will hover around 5-6 then if required more it takes some time to get the full speeds. I'm not sure if its the ping or quality of line in question, but I have seen MAX 20 on a torrent, but thats only what other people are giving me my upload never hits more than 1 max 3.5?
