I noticed a GPU mounted next to a wireless card is a bad idea, esp if there is a high powered fan motor next to it.
I tried a passive cooled GPU and signal improved greatly!

Translation:

I noticed that having my graphics card in a slot near to the wireless card is a bad idea. Especially if there is a high powered fan next to it.
I tried a non fan cooled graphics card, and my signal imroved greatly.

Either way - Yours is a laptop, so wouldn't help

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

I had wireless problems in my house untill I got airport extreme and airport express (which is plugged into the wall socket upstairs)and now where ever I am in the house the wireless signal is 100% plus I now have the added bonus of AirTunes,5ghz wireless (which is only delivered to devices that can handle it) and
My hard drive is plugged into the extreme for wireless saving and retrieval oh and wireless printing.
all in all apple have saved the day........again! it's also a doddle to setup and is pretty much idiot proof,
Annnnnd theres an app so you can control the wireless settings from your iPad or iPhone.
I know there's alot of apple haters but I'd say the airport products really are two of the best products they have.
