Ipad 2 connection to Iphone 4
« on: 03 January 2012, 22:21 »
So, I treated myself to an Ipad 2 (32GB) with 3G at Christmas, apparently I can tether it wirelessly to my Iphone 4 so it serves as a modem, anyone done this? and if so, how?

With an Apple 4 and 4S with iOS 5+ you can use them as a MiFi.

In the Apple shop Kirk, unfortunately I was short on time, and only got a brief explanation, apparently something that can be done through settings, and joining a network... cant remember any more

Thanks Jay...
I'm on O2, this question was asked by the guy in the Apple shop, he said that I may need to upgrade my tariff to allow better usage...

So if you had an iPhone bought from an Apple store would it work or would the iPhone download the carrier settings and disable that function? :undecided: I be pretty pissed if I bought an iPhone to use on O2 and the carrier settings f@cked it up, but then I'd probably be using a jailbroke phone anyway

Silly to do that in this day and age, seems like they're stuck in 2006 (O2 that is).
