desperately want a mk2 again
« on: 03 January 2012, 14:22 »
december 2010 i made the worst mistake ever, i had a lovely mk2 1.8 8v nothing special but i loved it until the engine froze solid and popped everything i.e heater matrix, coolant system possibly core plugs i cant really remember lol, so like a massive douche bag i sold it and got a 60 reg fiesta 1.25 new from ford which i now hate with a passion so ive decided im going to drive it back to ford and dump it back on the forecourt haha because i miss owning a mk2 so badly

if anyone knows of any going cheap let me know please, i cant wait to get back into dubs

ive been looking at them already but because of my age and driving experience im limited insurance wise to what i can get

the biggest is probably a 1.8 8v gti but i not complaining  considering im driving a 1.25 lol

oh yeah i know,

this might sound stupid but is there any difference between a 1.8 8v and a 1.8 8v gti performance wise

because my previous mk2 was a 1.8 8v gl i think and that was quit nippy

Pretty Good... My Lad has a 1.6 Driver and it's pretty nippy...

Not a GTI but still good & with a few quid spent it will look like a GTI

No Problems....

If you are getting a 1.6 or 1.8 Carb - check the Piersburg is working properly as in the choke is turning off when it's warmed up & check for warm start up...

Needless to say check the car for rust.... Rust & You got it - RUST again....
