Damn Water Leak
« on: 03 January 2012, 01:30 »
Spent a good hour upside down in my drivers footwell trying to find where water is leaking in whilst squirting the hose on the car this afternoon. No it doesn't have a feckin sunroof, I kinda think it is coming from the seal around the white plastic box under the scuttle panel which looks like a pain to remove. I was thinking of torching it, but that would be impossible now due to all the stupid wet water. I WILL FIX IT.

Well I attacked the leak again today, removed harness cover and resealed it, the seal under the box and the seal on the lid of the box were both damaged, hopefully it is sorted now.

Just got to wait for it to dry out as it is soaking now due to all my investigating with the hose pipe

Here are pics that will hopefully help someone else

harness cover with wiper linkage removed and lid off

harness unplugged and box removed
