Different to what I was taught.

Obviously the correct size, what doughnut is going to try and undo with the wrong size spanner :lipsrsealed:

Also pretty sure most of my spanners are the same length on both sides of the jaws :undecided:

Saying that Ive been off work for 3 weeks cant remember where I put my tool box let alone remember what all my spanners look like :lipsrsealed:

Me! needed an 18mm spanner to take my mates steering wheel off to put it back on straight after having the draglink replaced, I didn't have my tools and his tool box had every size from 10mm up to 17mm then jumped to 19mm so had to do it with the 19mm.

I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

think what danny p said hit the nail on the head i to have a wide choice of makes of tools some get abused and other for the decent jobs

but what has shock me most is silverline they are cheap as chips and most have lifetime gaurentee to i think i paid a tenner for a set of spaners 8mm-22mm i have been hanging of them with bits of scaffold tube beaten them with hammers ect and not managed to break one yet got a set of stubby spanners come thru the other day and they look quite impressive for 8 quid

silverline sockets are supriseing  they'll take a LOT more stick than you'd think,    most of my spectial sockets are silverline based  they are also my socket of choice for getting locking wheel nuts off

the ratchets however are a diffrent story.

all the VW's have gone bar 1.
