what tools you buy is very user specific. the mixture of makes and diffrent qualitys of tools in my workshop is incredible.
i allways have at least a coupke of full sets of elcheepo spanners and sockets for adjusting or jobs where you know there going to get droped in places that there not coming back from.
then decent makes for daily spannering, but all tools have a use.
i would say halfords pro or draper expert is ideal for the home mecanic , they arn't the best but there good enough and cheep enough the likes of snap-on, teng, facom, signet ect are tools that cost a damb sight more but you use earn your wage.
the really cheep stuff is best left allone thally just cost you lots a skin and a broken finger or two
